THINK CLOUD LIBRARY
The 'Think Cloud Library' serves as an instant think cloud that accepts, stores, and shares people's thoughts. Various bookshelves suitable for each program float in a square frame, creating a light landscape.
We think of the core values of libraries as spaces that make us think. This continues from the library's past to the present and differentiates libraries. Micro libraries serve as instant think clouds that accept, store, and share people's thoughts.
Micro libraries should have the ability to accommodate visitors to existing libraries. Therefore, we classified library visitors into two main types.
Some people visit the library for a purpose. They are for study, reading, or cultural events. However, micro libraries will not be enough for people to occupy space for a long time.
Therefore, the public collaboration program was placed at the ground level, and the reading program was placed at the top. This leads to a continuous flow.
This flow down from the top can also work as a series of processes to think while reading, create by hand, and share with people.
And we made various voids. This helps to circulate naturally even within a narrow vertical space.
Some people visit the library expecting coincidence.
In the New Normal Life era, appropriate distances and flexible changes are needed. Therefore, libraries need to accommodate a variety of purposeless visitors. Therefore, this program drives the entire flow of libraries. In this flow, people face unexpected thoughts.
Like this, we found an evolving micro-library, starting with a visitor to the library. These 2 space types intersect continuously.
This makes up a space that is comfortable to stay within a small area and is not boring to be alone.
not burdensome even if you visit alone.
