The versatility offered by the pavilion allows it to be inserted in sets of two in an open space. In a park setting, this provides a play-scape for children due to its reflective and light-emitting capacities.
Kalo-Escape provides respite from the bustling atmosphere of the city through the use of light, enclosure and semi-private seating spaces. The project integrates itself into multiple locations in an urban setting, providing multitude of functions.
The dichroic film material used in this pavilion allows light to enter and to be manipulated in order to create a kaleidoscope-like effect. When placed in modules, the pavilion creates an undulating path that provides a unique spatial experience.
The offices facade is made from a pod-like system seen as a yellow panel on the facade. It is also combined with a rain-chain system that directs the rain to water the vegetation on the facade in order to create warmth for those working and visiting the HQ.
