Beyond Rediscovery: Reclaiming Alijan Jute Mill as a Living Productive Landscape
This project transforms Narsingdi’s colonial-period Alijan Jute Mill into a river-resilient, worker-centered heritage district. Using New Contextualism, it blends production, housing, culture, and commerce into an active urban system, reconnecting the Meghna riverfront through adaptive reuse and sustainable urban regeneration.
