Easel Bridge is a built pedestrian bridge designed by XBTW Office in Yucun, Moganshan, Zhejiang Province. Spanning Fuxi Creek, the 10-metre-long bridge explores how a small piece of infrastructure can become a public space.

The Unlocking Bridge

We decided to unlock a different possibility of a crossing – the swinging arm of the bridge makes it dual in its nature – in an open position it can facilitate the movement of cyclists and pedestrians across the harbor, but when closed – it opens a new shortcut through one of the bays of Christiania.
