Sea of tranquility
The project proposes the creation of an alternative version of looking towards the sky and the way we understand it. The circular courtyard acts as an outdoor Skyspace while the volume "anchors" itself to the volume while it "floats" above the ground, housing the learning space and visiting space.

There is a complete presentation of a building concept here, but two immediate questions that are left unanswered are; "why was this layout chosen?" and "how will this engage the public?". The aesthetic presentation is internally consistent and strong but does not align with the spirit of the brief - for a space intended to engage and inspire the youth and educate the public about space, it comes across as flat and antiseptic.
Strong concept. However the intellectual rigor behind such a compelling concept doesn't shine through.
