Tempus Mutatio, or Art Garden, the sensory and informal art school in Chicago. in concept “ Art in the Air ” to be a learning space or ambience find inspiration of art. In which the architecture will be very inspired by local architecture. and the University of Chicago, matched with the different seasons to explain the concept Art in the air.

Research Chicago to find local, culture and architecture. And also to get and sympathetic Chicago, the city of wind full of differences and diversity in art and people.

Process of architecture. Therefore, cut and open space for light into the garden each zone. And the garden will become like an ecosystem suitable for plants and some small animals.

The terrain and climate vary from time to time. So this garden therefore need suitable plant species. Therefore think of the native plants of Chicago.

Spring season match with Romanesque architecture. The colorful of flowers and plants are reture when the Spring season is comes. It's time for outdoor to enjoy with walking and playing outside when the white of snow is melt away and the plant is bloom of life and color.

Summer season with match with Romanesque and Gothic. And get inspired by summer festival activities. Enjoy under the sunshine with the music, food, interaction and the colors of art and flower such as circle of Chicago's life.

Fall or Autumn season match with Industial and Romanesque. And get inspired by the Chicago bridge and the railroad. Speaking of Chicago, these cannot be overlooked, as it is the part that describes the development of the structure and Chicago's engineering.

I appreciate the consideration of context, physically (UofC)and seasonally, and your drawings at eye level, with materiality and landscape well depicted make me interested in experiencing the project. This said, it is a challenge to "recreate" history, and I suggest learning from it but transforming it. What I take from this project is the potential of a kind of ruin, with heavy masonry interacting with enclosures/covering of varied transparencies. If you put this project "through the wash" again, I would hold onto the interactions between built form and garden, though becoming more abstract, less referential to "architectures". Heighten consideration of smell, sun, wind. Potentially reinforce the idea of seasons by illustrating only one space through the seasons, even dan to day to dusk to night. That's an infinite number of experiences just there!
