The Eye Haven aims to fill the gap in the area and provide safety to the vulnerable citizens of Crockett. During calmer times, the shelter can be transformed into a community centre for cultural activities and as an extension of civil services in the site. When designing The Eye Haven, it was a goal to ensure privacy and safety for everyone who stays there.

Students can overcome their traumas about beeing homeless there and maintain mental well being. The main design idea was to blend the interior with the exterior. Project is based on natural material - wood and is full of greenery.

Thinking about what happens to the materials and the lot after the building is taken apart is important for the design of sustainable buildings. By planting trees in the surrounding area at the beginning of the life cycle, a fully-fledged forest remains at the end of the cycle and not an empty plot of land.
