THE NEST
On the contrary of a traditional cemetery, The Nest combines chapels, and columbarium in one, with a vertical gesture. Earth Chapels and Gallery are situated at podium level, while Sky Chapels and Columbarium at the tower levels. The placement of the urns is nestled into this big canopy structure and under one “roof” lies all the ceremonies and rituals.

THE NEST
The Nest combines chapels, and columbarium in one, with a vertical gesture. Earth Chapels and Gallery are situated at podium level, while Sky Chapels and Columbarium at the tower levels. The placement of the urns is nestled into this big canopy structure and under one “roof” lies all the ceremonies and rituals for the last farewell of the deceased.
Sky Chapel
Through the elevators or the sky ramps that spiral up the diagrid core, you would land onto the bridges and then enters the Sky Chapels. The size of these Sky Chapels ranges from small, medium to large, to accommodate different groups of ceremonies. The diagrid core frames the view of these Sky Chapels, like a light well that lights up these spaces.
Urn Placement
The nodes where these cables meet, hold and frame the urns for the deceased. The ashes are encased within the nodes, and besides it, there is a stand that displays the person’s name and stories, anyone who comes and visits could scan the barcode with their phone and read about the person who may or may not related to them but be aware of their community.

I would work more on the scale of the building, although there is a lot of conceptual elements that create a strong enviroment in the site; it needs to work with the program in relationship with the formal elements, potent urban image.
