Ghetto and the City: a case of Mumbra
Ghetto and the City: a case of Mumbra is an enquiry into the spatial formation of a ghetto and its characteristic insular nature with an underlying aim to study the conflicting relationship between the ghetto and the city through the lens of the ‘boundaries’ that exist between them. The specific case of Mumbra was chosen to draw a sociological sketch of marginality in the city and hypothesize if its learnings can be utilised to reimagine the nature of ghettos.
