12Common GroundDesigning something new in an ancient place, where geology, nature, history and tradition are neighbours, is not an easy task and requires a unique approach. The title 'Common Ground' comes from the idea of 'everyone's place'. The word for 'everyone' in the Aboriginal dictionary is 'Rowk' and 'Kunrorre' meaning 'ground'.

1Waves of ReclamationThe project is an intervention within Istanbul Turkey that aims to recreate the site as a liquid landscape. This project does so by creating field conditions from flooding the site that behave in a theatrical and dynamic manner. The field conditions are created with different movements of water. Flooding of the site is controlled through pumps in the site.
7Water dropA drop of fresh water in the ocean represents the world's shortage of drinking water. The monument consists of a pedestrian ramp under a canopy of glass. Inside it is an oasis that was created thanks to fresh water. Waterfalls and a fountain emphasize this.
