Architecture
Design and planning of buildings, spaces, and environments that shape how people live, work, and interact.
Architecture encompasses the design of structures and spaces that respond to human needs, cultural contexts, and environmental conditions. Members explore how buildings and urban environments can be thoughtfully conceived to support specific communities and ways of living.
The community examines adaptive reuse projects that give new purpose to existing structures, senior living environments designed around care and community, neighborhoods that evolve with their inhabitants, and public spaces that serve social and cultural functions. Work also addresses how architectural design can communicate environmental issues and respond to ecological concerns.
