About Discussions Projects4 Journals4

Functional design emphasizes how things work and serve their users. It bridges the gap between form and function, ensuring that aesthetic choices support rather than compromise practical goals.

The community explores functional design through systems and processes, from modular housing and customizable urban frameworks to everyday objects and spatial experiences. Members examine how design thinking applies across scales, from personal routines to public infrastructure, and investigate the relationship between making and designing as a methodological practice.
