ON THE WAY

THE TASK WAS TO MAKE AN ACCOMMODATION FOR 100 TRUCK DRIVERS, WHICH MUST ENABLE QUICK STOPS FOR REST AND REFRESHMENT, PROVIDE A PLACE FOR FOOD CONSUMPTION AND SPACES FOR A LONGER REST. THE SHAPE OF THE BUILDING IS INSPIRED BY A TRADITIONAL INDIAN HOUSE WITH A CENTRAL ATRIUM. THE BUILDING HAS TWO FLOORS SO THAT IT DOES NOT TAKE A LOT OF AREA.

Jazz York

Jazz York is designed using these founding principles of jazz music; improvisation, and change. Without either of these, jazz becomes conservative, and can it really be called jazz if it's conservative. While only trying to complement the performance space, the form is built around how the interior wants to look; pointing the viewer's eyes towards the stage.

#Baussin' Baus-stop

A play on the words BAU (Building) and millennial lingo BUSSIN (Something is really good). #BAUSSIN embodies the Bauhaus movement where modernity meets functionalism; a response to our current day & age.

SQUANGLE

SQUANGLE is the project of willa, which is based on the creation of a living space by squares. One of the main assumptions is to create a comfortable space for a family, which fully uses the existing resources of the landscape and nature. Future inhabitants of SQUANGLE is a family of five persons which consist father, mother and 3 children.

FLOATING IN SPACE

The purpose of this design challange is to create a comfortable and creative space for artists where the atmosphere to create and appreciation of art prevails.

Desert Rose

Desert Rose Cultural Centre is designed to be a specific and sustainable response to the building’s unique context. Deriving out of the idea of Marrakech culture, tradition and art and craft, the design and expanded program exemplifies the concept of nature and technology made visible and working in harmony.

The Hive

The Hive is a "Social Housing" proposal in the Netherlands which approaches affordable housing with modular timber construction. Our aim is to create beautiful community spaces that include every inhabitant. The building modules are designed around two community courtyards which help create a variety in space.

Interlude is a cultural centre that aims to collect, maintain and promote local traditions and in turn making a sustainable architecture that has almost no environmental impact, thus generating a unique cultural icon in Morocco and North Africa. Just like an interlude in music, this project aims to become a place to have a break from the routine.
