Gus Wüstemann

Gus Wüstemann (born 1966) founded gus wüstemann architects in 1997 in Zurich and, in 2004, opened his second office in Barcelona. Gus studied at the ETH Zurich and has lived and worked in Australia, India, England, and the U.S.A. Gus is co-founder and curator of Catalan-Architects. Since 2018 he is on the board of consultants to the city of Barcelona. He frequently lectures within Europe and leads research workshops in the field of space design, architecture, and urbanism. Gus follows an ethical code in his architecture, creating spaces free of social status or connotation. His projects have been published and exhibited internationally. The studio has won competitions and prizes all over the world. Gus lives in Zurich and by the sea in Barcelona with his family. He enjoys surfing, sailing and has also climbed some high mountain peaks around the world.
Luca Baraldo
Senior Associate, COOKFOX Architects, United States
Since joining COOKFOX in 2007, Luca has brought his architectural and interior expertise to a range of projects. His early work includes the Tahari Showroom at One Bryant Park, as well as City Point, a large mixed-use complex in Downtown Brooklyn, and 130 West 12th Street, a 43-unit boutique redevelopment in Manhattan’s West Village. Recently, Luca has led interior design teams for three residential towers: 301 East 50th Street, City Tower Brooklyn, and Pacific Park’s 550 Vanderbilt Avenue. On each project he worked closely with the architectural teams to develop a holistic approach to design. He and his team also directed the renovation of the Double Diamond house, a ‘60s-era modern vacation home unique to the coast of Westhampton, which included a new 3,500 sf beach-front addition. Luca is currently working on a 5th Avenue Penthouse residence, and select private and multifamily residential projects. Luca grew up in Verona, Italy and since has lived in Venice, Lille, Paris, Milan and New York. He began his professional career at S. Russell Groves where he was an interior designer for a luxury spa and gym complex in Saint Thomas, followed by a number of high-end retail and residential interiors. The son of an artisan and a tailor, Luca has had an appreciation for materials and details since an early age. His favorite part of designing spaces is collaborating with fabricators, craftsmen and artists.
Andreas Fuhrimann
Co-founder, Andreas Fuhrimann Gabrielle Hächler Architects, Switzerland
Born in 1956. Physics studies (4 semesters) and architectural studies at the ETH Zurich, 1985 architectural degree at the ETH Zurich under Prof. Dolf Schnebli. 1-year design and planning architect in the architectural office Marbach + Rüegg. As of 1987 co-operation with Christian Karrer. 1988 lecturer at the School of Design and Crafts in "interior architecture". As of 1995 co-operation with Gabrielle Hächler. 2005 admitted to the Association of Swiss Architects (BSA). 2009-2011 Guest Professor at ETH Zurich. 2011-2014 Professor at UDK Universität der Künste Berlin.
George Sakvarelidze
Principal, MUA - Multiverse Architecture, Georgia
Born (1980) in Tbilisi, Georgia. He obtained a Master degree in Architecture at the Tbilisi State Academy of Arts. During his architectural Practice in Moscow, Russia at Studio AMC he participated in international Competition and worked on a project Aire Tower, located in Leeds, UK. In 2003, George founded studio Rooms specializing in interior and furniture design. He sharpened his skills while working with the following architecture companies: Dephani AD (Grato City, Texx Group Development Project). Prior to founding, MUA George worked on many notable projects, such as rehabilitation and renovation of iconic building “Ministry of Highway Construction” (present Bank of Georgia Headquarters). His major works include Tbilisi Prosecutors Office; National Olympic Committee House; Ozurgeti House of Justice; Lazika Municipality Building; Batumi Hilton Hotel and Prime Class Residences - RIBA Stages E to K; Tabula TV public broadcasting Studios; Georgian National Agency for Standard and Metrology. Fabrika Tbilisi Urban Development including 400-bed Hostel and multifunctional urban space.
