Alternate overlapped modules can save half the amount of materials, thereby reducing construction costs and making it affordable for low-income people.Variable units can be inhabited by different owners alternatively.

It means that besides the basic necessary space in every living unit, there will be dynamic share space attached outside the basic living unit. Through the arrangement of modular slices, we have created dwelling units that can be updated or replaced individually throughout time. These units can be connected and stacked to adapt and grow into a large structure. We have fully designed one unit in detail to represent our proposal.

11Ribbon HouseThe proposal is located in Guangzhou, China. To respond the increasing need of housing in a more and more dense city and inspired by the fluent movement of ribbon, we design the so called Ribbon House in the city center of Guangzhou.
4Cactus adaptabilityGiven the minimum dimensions required, non-hierarchical spaces are appealed and the server spaces are suppressed. The furniture, easily interchangeable, will be the ones that define the character of spaces, a priori without a preliminary use and with a big flexibility. In turn, common areas and orchards are essential to create a neighborhood community.

3Rubik's Cube Home??plugin housing designWe get the concept of this design from the construction of magic cube. Rubik's cube can be quickly disassembled and assembled, and can form a variety of changes. We regard each residential unit module as a small block, forming a large unit around the axis. Different house types can be combined freely, and each module can be replaced.
3Bee HomeWe've learned that honeybees' hives are very sophisticated, adaptable, and material efficient. Honeycomb is composed of innumerable size in the same room, room hole is hexagonal, this can be the most efficient for the use of space, by reference to the structure of the honeycomb type, apply it to the combination of affordable housing.
