Here all sorts of people can meet and mingle, e.g. residents from the elder home who can come together with other generations in the restaurants, shopping center and cafe, and this way won’t feel so isolated as in most other types of elder homes.
We want to create life and living space for all in this building, both those who resides there and those who comes there to work, shop, dine, enjoy the view, etc.
Project consists of a tower placed at the seashore. The tower has 55 floors above ground and 5 arms extending from the tower towards the water. The arms each have a length of 100 meters.
One of the arms [Arm no. 1] acts as a bridge connecting the tower with the land and is the main entrance for all traffic.
All interior has organic forms and makes optimal use of the natural light.

THE TOWER:
Structure from the ground up (above sea level):
3 floors w. a shopping center
- Open for everybody that comes to the building: residents, employees and outside visitors.
1 floor w. restaurants
- Open for visitors from outside as well as residents and employees in the building.
Connected to the lower floors with escalators, elevators and stairs.
10 floors w. offices in various sizes
- To be rented by different companies in all sizes.
6 floors w. hotel apartments
- Rented residences for people that live here for a shorter period, e.g a small Embassy testing new facilities.
Also good for companies in need of special meeting rooms, restaurants, etc.
3 floors w. elder homes
- All are equipped with doctors, nurses and other staff.
It also offers a rich variety of activities, concentrated in great central lobbies.
The residents also are able to visit the various floors and meet all sorts of people and mingle with the generations.
4 floors w. student residences
- The students live in separate accommodations in 2 sizes: Large size = 3 rooms. Small size = 1 room.
In the center of the floors is a great lobby where the students can come together and participate in dancing, dining, and other common activities.
9 floors w. a hotel
- Equipped with single and double rooms in different sizes.
In the center is a great lobby for dining, etc.
Provided with all necessities for the guests.
14 floors w. apartments [n.]
- On each of the 4 floors there are 6 different sizes of apartments:
173 m2, 190 m2, 193 m2, 204 m2, 395 m2 & 663 m2.
The smallest (173 m2) has 3 bedrooms, the largest (663 m2) has 6 bedrooms.
On each of the last 10 floors there is 9 apartments, with the sizes:
225 m2 (3 bedrooms) and 330 m2 (4 bedrooms).
6 of the 14 floors are provided with swimming pools, the other 8 are not.
4 floors w. luxury apartments [l.]
- Each of these floors contains 2 apartments, both equipped with a swimming pool.
Sizes are 794 m2 (6 bedrooms), and 815 m2 (6 bedrooms).
These apartments can be rented by families and others for weekends and special occasions.

- Here everybody can buy admittance to enter and enjoy the view and a drink.

THE ARMS:
Arm no. 1
On ground floor it is the same level as ground floor of the Tower. Through this arm is the connection with land and the entrance to the Tower.
Below this arm is floor -1 (on sea level) with the bike parking and the tiny houses.
Each tiny house is equipped w. toilet and kitchen and measures 13 m2 interior, 13 m2 exterior area.
Also on the -1 lies the house boats. Each boat has 4 bedrooms and sun panels on the roof. Can be sold, rented to families or be a part of the hotel.
Arm no. 2
Contains 6 houses, each with their own berth (are only to be sold to boatowners). The house owners’ boats can anchor at both sides of the arm.
On the top of each house is a green house w. a view to the sea and a large garden.
The entrance for this area is through the shopping center on floor -1.
This arm is private for the residents and their guests and gives no admittance for those unwanted with other errands in the Tower.
Arm no. 3
On floor -1 (sea level) is a restaurant w. a large outdoors garden.
On top of the arm (on ground floor, same level as the shopping center) is a cafe w. a large outdoors garden.
Arm no. 4
Contains 6 houses, each with their own berth (are only to be sold to boatowners). The house owners’ boats can anchor at both sides of the arm.
On the top of each house is a green house w. a view to the sea and a large garden.
The entrance for this area is through the shopping center on floor -1.
This arm is private for the residents and their guests and gives no admittance for those unwanted with other errands in the Tower.
Arm no. 5
On floor -1 (same level as sea and the specialty food shops) is a kindergarten in 2 floors for the building’s residents and employees only.
Along the sides of the arm are house boats for guests.
THE SHOPPING CENTER
Consists of floor -1 (sea level) + floor 1-3.
Above this is the restaurants of floor 4.
At the left on floor 1 is the main entrance for the Tower, at the right the access to both intern and extern cafes; half of these are placed on Arm no. 1.
Contains:
5 specialty shops
2 large elevators (2 x 1 m) leading to the prospect floor on the top floor
2 elevators (3,4 x 1 m)
These are only for the residents and employees of the Tower.
Behind the elevator is the stairs for all floors.

4 corner elevators, leading to the restaurants at floor 4
Placed in each corner of the Tower.
SECURITY
Emergency exits:
The Tower has several stairs.
The 4 top floors have more elevators and stairs because there are more people in these floors.
ENERGY:
In every corner of the building there is installed some very advanced sun panels. In all there is 4.000 m2 with sun power. This provides both tower and arms with electricity.
GARBAGE:
The whole building has an own system for sorting the waste: into plastic, organics, cardboard, metal, glass, electrics, paper, etc.
PARKING:
The Tower and the Arms are well equipped with parking areas. In case there is no room in these zones, there is a very large parking space on land, with room for both cars and bikes.
