● What was the concept behind the Design?

Haj is a journey of love with Allah (Almighty God) on the footsteps of Prophet Ibrahim and visiting Allah's House the 'KABAH'. The KABAH is actually the Heart of Haj. The Hajji (Who performs Haj) stays in Mina but his heart is in KABAH.

The main idea behind Revisiting MINA is to give feeling of connection of MINA with KABAH through tent to elevate the experience of Haji to another level.

● How was a specific objective attempted to be met?

The objectives were:

1- To Increase the per person space ratio from 1.6 Sqm to 2.4 Sqm.

2- To Increase the capacity to 1.5X the current.

To achieve the objective the interior was rethought and inspired from train births. The Bed Birth system increases the capacity at the same time is spacious also. This system gives social environment with modular nature to convert it to semi private or family compartments with curtain or partition. The bed system is designed to give Hajji better accommodation facilities like sitting, sleeping, baggage storage, shelf, night light, foldable eating table, charging points and book shelf.

● What is the present and expansion plan of the project?

The site is zoned in three areas.

1) The multipurpose zone is located at four corners.

2) The Toilet zone is at the center and easily accessible from all side.

3) The Living zone is divided into two equal parts which is connected to main road directly.

The single module can be clustered to expand and rearrange as desired in future.
