Artilla: a rendez-vous of Creative Expression
Artilla as the name suggests is a rendez -vous of Creative Artists in a picturesque locale of Croatia with the site in a location having the River and the Sea as its extents.
The Design focuses on taking advantage of this picturesque locale and using the contoured site to its fullest advantage for the users. The Creative Community of Artists are provided a rejuvenating space which tickles their creative bones as well and makes them get inspiration form the natural setting around as well as the design clusters which fosters their social and creative space interactions fueling creative thoughts. The Design also uses the natural elements like air, light ,water to give a sustainable solution to this resort of creative people. The use of Sustainable ways of living are promoted by providing zero- carbon footprint through design initiatives.
The Construction technique also uses the alternative building solutions like timber, stone and natural elements.
The Design of a room of this creative resort has the common space for following creative/ artistic pursuits and as one moves inside the room, it has the living, sleeping and bathing areas fused together to make the experience in this space out of the world. Maximum part of the resort is visually and physically connected to nature and promote creative and sustainable living.
