Reimagining Healthcare Through the Bio-Triad Concept By Heba Rasheed

This journal documents the design process of a proposed Multispeciality Hospital in Gurugram, Haryana, developed around the Bio-Triad concept—an innovative framework integrating Oncology, Neurology, and Cardiology within a cohesive healthcare environment. These three specialties represent some of the most complex and interdependent fields of modern medicine, requiring seamless collaboration, advanced diagnostics, and multidisciplinary care.
The project explores how architectural planning can enhance clinical efficiency while creating therapeutic environments that promote healing and comfort. Drawing upon evidence-based healthcare design, biophilic principles, and sustainable planning strategies, the hospital is envisioned as a patient-centered facility where nature, technology, and architecture work together to improve healthcare delivery.
The design emphasizes interconnected clinical zones, intuitive circulation, adaptable infrastructure, healing landscapes, and energy-efficient systems to create a future-ready medical campus. Rather than functioning as isolated departments, the core specialties are spatially integrated to encourage collaboration among healthcare professionals, reduce patient movement, and optimize treatment workflows.
