Modern Minimalist Apartment Interior Design: A Black Kitchen Concept in Prague

This project Black Kitchen by Jana Stachova presents a refined interpretation of modern minimalist apartment interior design, set within a new residential building in Holešovice, Prague. Designed for a young, active couple, the apartment is conceived as a calm oasis within the dense urban fabric of the city. The design rejects visual noise and instead prioritizes clarity, material honesty, and spatial efficiency.

At its core, the project explores how restraint in color, form, and detailing can produce a highly expressive yet serene living environment. The absence of unnecessary elements allows the architecture itself to become the primary experience.

Material Language and Color Strategy

The interior is defined by a tightly controlled palette of anthracite gray, black, and muted neutrals.
