Infrastructure and service experience of scenic area along Chengdu City Beltway
In Chengdu, Sichuan Province, China, there is a bypass expressway, which is an important artery connecting the city and the outside. At the same time, this expressway connects dozens of famous scenic spots in the city. It is a way for people and vehicles to gather together.
These scenic spots are famous such as Guixi Ecological Park, Qinglong Lake Park, Jincheng Lake, Sansheng Township, Shu Road Thoroughfares garden, as well as large and small ecological parks, net celebrity card attractions, and more than one hundred fascinating scenic spots.
Jincheng Lake Park is located in the southern section of the highway along Chengdu Ringcheng Greenway. It is expanded on the basis of Jincheng Park, with a total land area of 1.587 million square meters and a total water area of 669,000 square meters, divided into four lakes. Jincheng Lake Park is the Chengdu running group recognized as the "night running holy land." In the park, there is a large area of parking lot under the viaduct, but there is a lack of charging and refueling stations. There are a few toilets in the park.
Jiangjia Art Garden is located in Jinjiang District along Chengdu Ringcheng Greenway. The park combines shallow hills, forests, fields, lakes, ponds, flowers and other landscape elements. There are theme parks with parent-child art experience and popular science education as the carrier, as well as scenic spots based on ecological background such as landscape farmland and forest pan. The whole area of the scenic spot is very large. In the outer circle around the scenic spot, there are scattered temporary open parking lots. Most of the sites are soil ground, and the scenic spot lacks centralized toilets and service stations. Most rely on farmhouse, restaurants, shops to provide supporting basic services.
The Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding is 10 kilometers from the city center. It is the world famous giant panda ex situ conservation base, scientific research and breeding base, public education base and educational tourism base. The base covers an area of 1000 mu. As the "Giant Panda ex Situ Ecological Protection Demonstration Project", it is famous for protecting and breeding endangered wild animals unique to China such as giant panda and red panda. There are plenty of infrastructure such as large parking lot, visitor service center and toilet.
Every rest day, festival and sunny season, the ring road will become heavy traffic, scenic spots on both sides of the road attract a large number of tourists, an endless stream. On this ring road, especially in the places adjacent to various scenic spots, it is very suitable to set up comprehensive service stations. If comprehensive service stations are set around the whole ring highway at a certain distance, it will play a very obvious role in improving and optimizing the service of car parking, refueling and tourists in the tourist peak season.
The site we studied is located in the southwest of Sansheng Township, which is an open space sandwiched between an ecological green space and the beltway of the city. The ecological park nearby combines landscape elements such as shallow hills, forests, fields, lakes, ponds, and flower sea. Due to camping, cycling, flower appreciation and other activities, a large number of people come to the park, which correspondingly brings many problems such as difficulty in finding parking Spaces and difficulty in refueling and charging.
There are many scattered parking areas on the north side of the site. On holidays, many passengers park their cars directly on both sides of the road. Some people use a vacant lot to create a temporary parking place, but the ground is not treated and often flooded. There is a large gas station nearby, and it provides simple washing service for vehicles, but it does not provide charging service for electric vehicles at present.
The whole site is surrounded by lush trees but lacks basic services. There is a great need for a comprehensive car service.It can not only solve the problems of scenic spot service, car refueling and parking, but also provide a temporary rest and avoid congestion for the tourists on the city beltway during the holidays, and play a positive role in alleviating traffic jams.
