Araksa Tea House
Araksa Tea Garden is situated on the foothills of the rich forest of Mae Tang, Thailand. This boutique tea garden produces high quality organic tea that achieved EU Organic certification. Simple Architecture were approached to design a Tea House by using sustainable and locally available material. The goal was to embed the building into its natural habitat.

This is the entrance to the Tea Shop in which organic products of the Tea Garden can be purchased.
Tea Shop
The buidling is devided into a tea shop, tea room and restaurant.
View from the Tea Garden
The building is embedded into the organic tea garden. The covered terrace at the back enables visitors to see the tea plants.
Visitor Lockers
This is the area where visitors arrive to do a tea tour through the tea garden.
Tea House Entrance
This is the view when visitors arrive from the car-park below the tea garden. After a short walk they will see the tea house in between the organic tea plants.

Entrance Lobby
The tree trunks are originally found inside the tea garden and have been used as structural columns to hold up the roof.
Tea Room
This is the window of the tea room inside the tea house. This space is reserved for special occasions and guests and has a direct connection to the kitchen space.
Tea Terrace
This is the area where visitors prepare their own tea after they have hand-picked tea following professional guidance. This is the resting area at the end of the tea tour.
