Rehabilitation of a home originally built in the 20th century in Porto. The intervention focused on restoring the original ceilings, windows and doors, with few alterations, such as the addition of a skylight in the stairwell, a pool in the garden and the restructuring of the interior spaces as to make them fit for a home of the 21st century.

Project inserted in an expansive and consolidated neighborhood, inspired by Modern Movement, called Cooperativa O Lar Familiar ( later the Bairro dos Músicos).The main goal of our intervention was to convert and rearrange the existing house in a contemporary space that combined the inheritance received from the past with the comfort required nowadays.

Built on a plot of land measuring 30 meters long and 2.5 meters wide, it formally establishes itself as a habitable corridor, which, from the moment of entry, is filled with moments of darkness, light, surprise, discovery, compression and, lastly, release… the backyard patio!
