A-Maze!
This Anganwadi is built around the concept of ‘A-maze!’, a 3 fold design solution that incorporated Spatial Design, Game Design and Educational Design. It is a Safe Space where children are recognised as beings and not becomings. The concept is versatile in more ways than one, layout, gameplay and incorporates deep learning tools into its system
It is an interesting idea to focus in on modular interactive walls for play and learning and how they can support the requested program. But I think this way of thinking needs to be translated into how the site is laid out and how buildings are formed and interact with each other and the site.
Thank you Zach, I appreciate the honest feedback :) While I did design keeping realistic budgets of an Anganwadi in India in mind, I agree more could have done in terms of translating the concept into the building.

The best part of this submission is that they have incorporated most diversified activities using basic & low-cost materials for different age group of kids. The competition’s goals were achieved through the design through an easily doable structural solution. The analysis of the objectives was on point however, clarity regarding the foundation of the structures could have been better. Also, presentation of the ideas is an area where they can really work on in the future.
Reconstituted Play
At the core of our project is the idea of creating an adaptable play landscape. The modular design fits into varying spatial arrangements ranging from linear to central gathering. We seek to give children the ability to physically transform their own environment with our design kit simply facilitating this exchange.

But other elements appear with ceilings and supports foreign to the proposed system. Therefore there is a disconnection in the two proposed elements. They appear to be two different projects.

Play for all concept is based on the new innovative equipments as a framework in which there is an interaction between children and parents, this helps them to understand their surrounding environment in adventurous ways.
The design is very inclusive an open bordered, that creates a urban structure besides a playground, and we believe it is very valuable. We would have liked to see more development on the system as an adjustable projection, we think that is the core idea that could have achieved a interesting exchangeable program. We would like to encourage the authors to research about this possibilities in the future.
