Good ideas about the central space and the quality of the circulation and the ability to use it as part of the narrative of the building. The tyranny of the structural grid has been perhaps taken too far as a restriction to the extent that it has subsumed some of the potential of the homes to be joyful places to live. It would have been nice to see some of the quality of the homes, as well as the communal spaces.
Prison: A metaphorical City of reformation
This design dissertation proposal dismisses the dark spaces, small cells and grey concrete walls typical of a traditional prison. The environment that is created within the prison is inspired by the condensed urban environment,with a focus on reformation and its philosophy.

Kid's Heaven Daycare
Our chosen location is in Yazd, Iran, which has a hot and arid climate, so the architectural design needed to reflect the extreme conditions of the location. The conditions include high temperature difference between day and night, as well as extreme temperature differences between summer and winter. The area is also prone to draught.

Opera By The Sea
Like a rock being hit and formed by a wave the operahouse forms a strong gesture of durability and stability. While celebrating a connection of different elements, the building also stands as a metaphor for the estonian history - a lighthouse lighting a torch upon troubled waters and transforming grounds.

Clear concept. Clear illustrations and ordering. Well managed programming. Striking design & renders but not contextural/meaninful.
Quite reminiscent of the Busan Opera House by designcamp moonpark dmp. The addition of other programs like the hotel and studio is intriguing, however I wonder if the best way to implement it was to stack it on top of the flytower where it doesn't look easily accessible, especially on such a large site? Nice renders too!

Axis concept seems at odds with the city/natural axis'. Highly detailed drawings, while story/meaning is lost. No program analysis.

We are living in the world of climatic crisis. Our goal is to minimize embodied energy of the building life cycle. We believe that the best way to do it is by using vernacular architecture. We want to hand over the city to the inhabitants. In this project we showcase a module with basic functions, which each family can expand depending on their needs.
