Sensory Experience
Design approaches that engage multiple senses to shape spatial experience and perception.
Sensory experience in design extends beyond visual aesthetics to incorporate sound, touch, smell, and spatial awareness. This approach recognizes how people perceive and move through environments holistically, creating layered interactions between body, material, and place.
The community explores multisensory landscapes and architectural interventions that activate perception through natural elements, material qualities, and environmental conditions. Work ranges from coffee labs that integrate living trees and concrete forms to coastal journeys and landmark sensory installations that frame architecture as a complete experiential medium.
