Competition Rules & Guidelines

Who Can Enter:

Competition is open to all, students, professionals, and hobbyists from any industry who have a flair for merging art with technology. You can participate as an individual or in group, there is no limit to the number of participants in a group.

Selection Process:

  • The first round of judging will be based on community votes to shortlist the top 10 designs in each category. Anyone can sign in on Beegraphy to vote for their favourite project by clicking on the Light bulb icon (💡). Anyone can vote for your model as soon as your model is published. It will be weighed along with the uniqueness in the concept presented in the design.

  • Shortlisted designs will enter Stage 2, where they will be evaluated in more detail, focusing on creativity, feasibility, and the effective use of technology in art creation.

Submission Requirements (Stage 1):

  • 3D Model File: Design and publish your work on Beegraphy's marketplace, that's ready for digital fabrication. 
  • Design Statement: A 100-200 word explanation detailing the concept, functionality, and the computational design techniques used.
  • Parametrization: List down the parameters used for customization of your design.

 

Submission Requirements (Stage 2):

Platform Guidelines: Shortlisted entries will have to create an account and submit their projects on UNI. The submission on UNI requires a cover image, at least 3 boards about your project, embedded view of the Beegraphy model, and a design journal. Check our platform submission guidelines here.


In the submission, participants are recommended to include the following in their boards (if applicable):
 

  • Renderings: High-resolution images of the design from various perspectives.
  • Embedded Views: Use UNIs embed content mode to embed Beegraphy's model viewer in your project.
  • Design Development: A comprehensive set of sketches or drawings such as plan, section, elevations or 3D visuals showing the design development process.
  • Materials and Processes: Details about the materials used, especially any innovative or sustainable technologies, and the manufacturing processes..
  • Concept Statement: Explain how your design improves the final outcome or addresses the problem statement.
  • Prototype or Demo: A working prototype or demo video that illustrates the functionality and immersive qualities of the experience.
  • Technical Specifications: Include detailed information about the software, hardware, and platforms used.
  • User Feedback (if available): Any preliminary feedback from user tests that demonstrates the efficacy and impact of the experience.
