Alejandro García Pedrón
Co-founder, CRUX Arquitectos, Spain
Born in Los Pedrones - Requena, a small wine town in eastern Spain. In 2014 he graduated as an architect at the Polytechnic University of Valencia (Spain). He gets a special mention for his thesis: Biodynamic Agricultural Center. He combines his profession as an architect with the management of the family vineyard estate. He is currently part of the governing board of the local cooperative winery. In 2014 he founded CRUX ARQUITECTOS studio, together with Raquel Sola Rubio. The studio works on a contemporary approach to rural and vernacular architecture. Trying to keep respect for the stories of places and of their inhabitants. They have carried out projects for private promoters and the administration, through public competitions, among which are: Cultural Civic Center in Cabanyal - Valencia, with a contemporary reinterpretation of the traditional “barracas” and the town hall of Montserrat (Valencia), located in an old farmhouse. Recently the study has received the prize of the College of Architects of the Region of Valencia for the rehabilitation of the Dussart-Pedrón winery in Los Pedrones - Requena. The work developed by CRUX architects has allowed him to talk at the Polytechnic University of Valencia and at the College of Architects of Valencia among other places.

Nicola Isetta

Nicola Isetta graduated in March 2008 in “Scienze dell’architettura” at IUAV in Venice. In September 2008 he moved to The Netherlands to study at Delft University of Technology. Here he obtained the Master of Science in Architecture Urbanism and Building Science in 2011. From 2011 to 2014 he worked for Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel and Partners in Milan, taking part to several Italian and international projects. In 2014 he has founded together with Paola Rebellato REISARCHITETTURA, architectural practice based in Montebelluna (Treviso), Italy. The firm is operating in the sectors of architecture, urban design, restoration and refurbishment with works that spread from residential to industrial and public buildings. Among the realization from the studio there are award winning projects featured on several influential magazines, including: the CEVIV winery plant, the high-tech sustainable rural retreat BS HOUSE, the Apulian minimal-style holiday home GR HOUSE and others. The studio also took part to several competitions: Children Palliative-Care center in Tesimo (Bolzano) – winner, Sports hub of Castelfranco Veneto (Treviso) - 3rd prize, School in Monte di Malo (Vicenza) – 4th prize, Alperia Headquarters in Merano (Bolzano) – Finalist.
