2Runner-upPour Winery: A Study in Black and White The buildings that form Pour Winery in Kayamandi near the town of Stellenbosch in the winegrowing region of South Africa deal with the history of race relations in the country rather than avoid it. The careful interplay of black and white elements of the winery architecture signify and acknowledge the complex race relationship of the country.

A socle gradually detaching itself from the slope allows to observe what surrounds us thanks to framed views. A complex as simple as possible out of three houses forming a unit with clear edges. Like an erratic boulder it is placed in the south aftican landscape.
11Spirit of Dionysus The winery is attached to the terrain closely and extends in a streamlined form. It offers a place that people can be much closer to the vineyards and break prejudice and segregation, following the symbol of Dionysus, to experience pain and gain happiness, with all living beings, ultimately, achieve a state of integration with nature and the world.
60VILLAGE OF WINEThe main idea of the project is to redefine the traditional model of a winery by creating a multi-purpose complex containing not only production but also hotel, tourist, gastronomic and recreational functions, placed in the South African scenery.
4Perfect BlendHaving been inspired by the oenological ritual - wine aeration, the design adopts the essence behind this simple, yet significant gesture. Through the act of swirling and blending, our proposal aims to achieve a more holistic and seamless visitor experience through the interconnected network of programmatic features and circulation strategies.
