Glow Store by Indiesalon: A Transparent and Modern Retail Experience in Gangnam
GLOW Store by Indiesalon transforms a compact space in Gangnam with curved glass, seamless transparency, and innovative retail design.
A Visionary Cosmetics Showroom in Seoul
Located in the vibrant Garosu-gil district of Gangnam, South Korea, the GLOW Store by Indiesalon redefines compact retail design. Spanning just 36㎡, this innovative showroom transforms a narrow urban alley into a striking brand experience. Designed to reflect GLOW’s commitment to transparency and brilliance, the space seamlessly blends minimalist aesthetics with functional elegance.

Architectural Concept: Blurring Boundaries with Glass
The design embraces glass as the primary material, creating a fluid connection between the interior and exterior. Walls, ceilings, and floors integrate seamlessly, allowing natural light to amplify the sense of openness within the modest 23㎡ interior. This strategic transparency enhances visibility, making the store a visual beacon amid Seoul’s bustling retail scene.

Curved Glass: A Bold Architectural Statement
A standout feature of the showroom is its curved glass partition, which not only enhances aesthetics but also serves a functional purpose. It subtly divides the space into distinct zones, separating customer interaction areas from staff workspaces. The front section is dedicated to product displays, while the rear area houses a counter and changing room, ensuring privacy without compromising openness.

Innovative Design Details & Branding Elements
Every element within the GLOW showroom reinforces the brand’s identity. Custom engraved grating featuring the GLOW logo, along with acrylic door handles inspired by the brand’s symbol, add a layer of refinement. The design also incorporates custom-built shelving and sinks directly onto the glass, overcoming technical challenges to balance functionality with high-end aesthetics.

A New Standard for Compact Retail Design
Through Indiesalon’s innovative approach, this showroom transcends conventional retail design. The space not only functions as a product showcase but also acts as an immersive brand experience, where architecture and branding merge seamlessly. By utilizing glass, fluid layouts, and thoughtful details, the GLOW Store sets a new benchmark for modern retail interiors in South Korea.
