3-Living: Innovative Co-Living for the Modern Nomad
Flexible co-living spaces for modern nomads—where living, working, and traveling meet sustainability and community.
Brief
In the 21st century, a time of rapid changes and technological advancement, Millennials are redefining how they live, work, and travel. Inspired by the '60s movement, this generation often prioritizes experiences and memories over material possessions. The concept of "3-Living," created by Martyna Słowińska and winner of the Hustle Hub 2019 competition, embodies this shift by providing a flexible co-living solution tailored to the needs of modern nomads.

Concept of Inhabitants
The 3-Living model caters to three distinct groups, defined by their priorities and the duration of their stays:
- Travel Group: Represented by travel bloggers, digital photographers, and adventurers who move frequently to explore new destinations.
- Work Group: Including IT specialists, designers, and entrepreneurs who require reliable communication infrastructure and often stay for extended periods.
- Live Group: Comprising individuals who prefer longer stays to establish roots or explore life in a different country.

Idea
3-Living seeks to unite these groups in a six-story residential building featuring public, semi-public, and private spaces. With modular designs and a focus on integration, the project emphasizes the flexibility of shared and private areas. Examples of its adaptability can be seen in proposed locations like Moscow, Russia; Tel Aviv, Israel; and Hanoi, Vietnam.
The modular and adaptable design of 3-Living ensures it can meet the evolving needs of urban centers worldwide. The focus on co-living fosters community engagement while maintaining individual freedom, making it an ideal solution for modern nomads.

Site Plan
Four residential buildings are arranged around a central leisure axis, offering:
- Flexible ground-floor layouts for markets, exhibitions, and events.
- Gradation of spaces from public zones to private patios.
- Options for commercial, artistic, and community uses.

Ecological Solutions
3-Living incorporates sustainability with features like hybrid ventilation systems, rainwater harvesting, and solar panels.
Flat Design
Residents can personalize their living spaces, selecting basic modules for terraces, bathrooms, kitchens, and more. The design offers diverse options, from compact flats to duplex apartments, enabling individuals to craft their ideal homes.
Blending adaptability, community, and sustainability, 3-Living represents a groundbreaking approach to architecture for the modern era. It is a model for how we can live, work, and travel in harmony with each other and our surroundings.
