Kathédra Pavilion
The English word Cathedral, meaning ‘Bishop’s Seat’, is derived from the actual throne of the bishop, the Cathedra. The Kathédra Pavilion implies a return to the original meaning. Where the chairs (or pews) would traditionally line up facing the Bishops throne, now they create the actual walls of the edifice.

The concept is very interesting. The pavilion is a very delicate structure. The absence of materiality make it smoth and kind towards the park and the surrounding wall. The design of the round volume translates something oriental in correlation with the city, emphasizing the spirit of the place. The program is very simple, but invites the users to take action in a freelly way. The simplicity and delicacy of the pavilion's architecture linked with the freedom given to users is very well achieved. As people use the building the space acquires different shapes and shades, as so with the mirror rooftop that will reflect the changing of seasons. This chameleonic personality of the pavilion is very intelligent and well achieved. Congratulations!
