Sacred space explores how designers create environments that support spiritual experience, introspection, and ritual. This includes both explicit religious architecture and secular spaces designed for peace, isolation, and personal reflection.

The community examines integration of nature into spiritual design, sustainable approaches to sacred buildings, biophilic principles in chapels and retreats, and how landscape, materials, and spatial geometry contribute to contemplative and transcendent experiences.

INTROVERSE

Located in a park in the heart of Beijing, the project creates a secluded space that protects users from the busy environment and prompts each individual to find their own expression of faith. Nature was used as a key element to contextualize the project while the spiral shape evokes the idea of a journey one makes towards the central space.

ISOLATION MOMENTUM

Faith isn't always something fundamental for people, that’s why the project not only seeks to provide a space where users connect with their God but also to provide a special place where they can meditate and find themselves. We created different realities in the park where everyone can escape in their own way.

RETURNING

The idea of RETURNING is mentioned in different ways among different cultures, including Taoism, Islam, Persian literature, etc. Returning to our origin or God or Nature all imply existence of a circular movement that is extremely crucial. We show our concepts using the idea of Yin and Yang keeping sustainability and aesthetic considerations in mind.

SPHERE

The sphere is like the sacred and divine form of space. It is the final stage in the transformation of energy that follows a divine purpose. The sphere is the most efficient form to store and spread the energy. All planets and stars follow the same, as if they have a shared code of consciousness. This transformation is a manifestation of a common destiny.

SHIELD

Shield creates spaces that seek the congregation of all people who need a place of meditation. It proposes two contrasting levels, the lower one is isolated from noise and protected from the city with the intention of disconnecting you. On the other hand, the upper level proposes a green roof that connects you with nature, opening your view towards the park.

OASIS

A refuge amidst the storm. A pause from the terrors of life. Oasis is that sanctuary in the desert where the soul is replenished. This proposal aims at celebrating life while acknowledging the inevitable. An ode to the celebration of Life no matter how little it may be.

Tranquillising Temperaments through Architecture

History has left us with many incidences & events that has lead us to what we are today. In great cities, the great buildings tell you things you don't know and remember things which you've forgotten.Mumbai being the capital of commerce had many mills which were the reason of survival of 9lac people. But shutdown of mills caused an uproar in the city's balance.

An Urban Forest

Cities need to re-born and be alive, to make the world better again. Forest in town means that other forests can grow in town and each can make the place all living creatures can find a relationship. From Tewahedo tradition of the chapel in the forest we found the inspiration and a proof that this relationship is still possible and we should never forget.
