Waterscape
Design and architecture projects that engage with water as a primary spatial, ecological, or experiential element.
Breathing-scape: A Moss-Canopied Park in China That Treats Clean Air as a Shared Public Room
Winding trails, moon gates and arch bridges thread a park where tree-like moss canopies are proposed as filters for some of the world's most polluted air.
Mono in Mist: A Castle Wall Rebuilt in Water Hides Three Sunken Meditation Gardens in Fukuoka
Below a public park of pools and mist, a waterfall-ringed basin turns meditation, hotel rooms and a castle-wall metaphor into one descending journey.
TROP : terrains and open space Lace a Nine-Metre Shanghai Sunken Garden with White Mesh Stairs
At Yanlord Arcadia in Shanghai, a 590 m² sunken courtyard becomes a three-level social stair wrapped in white metal mesh that lets light and rain in.
Voice of the Sea: A Glowing Underwater Beacon Drawn to the Rhythm of Whale Migration
Drina Cortez imagines a luminous seabed tower and a floating shell for Bermuda's waters, a vision carried by atmosphere more than by plan.
MMBB, JPG.ARQ and Ben-Avid Flood Brazil's Expo 2020 Dubai Pavilion with a Walkable Sheet of Water
In Dubai, Brazil's Expo pavilion stretches a tensile fabric box over a shallow flooded square, inviting visitors to wade through projected rivers.
Tidal Survival: A Biomimetic Habitat That Glows, Moves, and Breathes Beneath the Ocean
Nicholas Miller's shortlisted EHC Pacific entry reimagines underwater habitation as a mobile, bioluminescent organism rather than a rigid capsule.
PATH: A Speculative Underwater Trading Hub Off the Coast of Penang
Modular pods and copper infrastructure form an expandable aquatic settlement 125 meters below the Strait of Malacca.
Splash Depot
The design for this bus stop is inspired by the fluidity and movement of water. The structure takes shape as a series of undulating extrusions that rise from the ground to create the roof, seating and supporting elements. Interlaced metal strips create spaces for the community to experience water a
Continental Shelf Recycling Habitat: Architecture Grown from Ocean Waste
A speculative underwater settlement transforms a submerged sinkhole and accumulated marine debris into the foundation for modular, expandable habitation.
Immersion: An Opera House Born from Ripples, Sound Waves, and Coastal Terrain
Paulina Walachowska's conceptual opera house translates wave propagation and acoustic geometry into a walkable public landscape.
AQUALUTION CENTER /Water purification center/
Project is collection of ecology and tourism history. It should pay homage to the technological achievements and history of the site, repay the debt to nature that has been depleted at the site, and be a place where visitors will come and perceive both the historical significance and the driving and scientific part with its visitor character.
Kelpscape: An Underwater Habitat That Becomes Part of the Kelp Forest
A submersible research vessel designed to be colonized by the very marine ecosystem it studies, blurring the line between architecture and organism.
OASIS: A Spherical Underwater Habitat Engineered for Life on the Pacific Shelf
A 16.6-meter geodesic sphere proposes self-sufficient living 200 meters below the Pacific, turning structure into landscape.
The Forgotten Edges:Center for Khazan Ecology and Living traditions
This thesis proposes an adaptive socio-ecological infrastructure along Goa’s Khazan water edges to counter urban severance. By replacing rigid boundaries with dynamic spatial strategies, the design restores vulnerable edges into vibrant thresholds for community stewardship, biodiversity, and cultural identity—reconnecting regional ecosystems with local heritage and future resilience.
THE TALE OF MARINE LIFE : A SEA AQUAIUM COMPLEX
A live marine aquarium is a unique type of aquarium designed to replicate and display marine ecosystems found in the ocean. This live marine aquarium in Bangladesh's Sonadia, The Hidden Chamber of the Ocean, promotes biodiversity, education, research, conservation, and environmental advocacy through 3D displays, auditorium, library, and café.
LifeCycle
Water crisis is one big issue that has hit human life quietly but severely. This program is supposed to provide a collaborative way of the modern and traditional way of collecting water from nature. To be aware about this global issue and to honor the people around the world who have sacrificed their lives for this cause.
A lot of time has been spent on developing the visual aesthetic of the fog catcher resulting in a well-designed piece. The link to protest is less well developed and feels underexplored.
Awesome work!
Great project!💖
Baoyi Huang Landscape Architecture Portfolio
This portfolio explores how landscape design can create meaningful connections between people, nature and place. Through ecological restoration, urban transformation and inclusive public spaces, the projects investigate how landscapes can support resilient environments and enrich everyday experiences.
INI Design Studio Coils a Nautilus-Shaped Aquarium into Ahmedabad's Arid Science City
India's first planned inland public aquarium spirals outward from a 27.5-meter atrium to house 12,000 fish across five geographic zones.
Weaving Willow
Weaving, observed as essentially an act of intertwining twigs and strands of a plant, stems or grass into an object, is in this case observed abstracted of the strands and twigs, and as an intertwining of two wholes - the wetlands - as natural environment, and a building - a man made object that is inevitably disrupting nature by only its being.
Good job!!
Well done bro
