Design Concept: The coffee shop is conceived around the program of quick-service, personalized coffee, and freshly prepared meals served on-site. The design balances functionality and aesthetic appeal, integrating the service counter, food preparation areas, and seating within the limited footprint. The floor plan is thoughtfully divided into two main sectors:

  1. Service Zone: Featuring counters that define the area, streamline workflow, and support efficient operations.
  2. Customer Area: A welcoming seating space, including a wall bench, offering direct contact with the bustling street outside.

The façade opens to the sidewalk, inviting passersby to pause, socialize, and enjoy coffee either on-site or on the go, creating a dynamic connection between the café and urban life.

Materials and Finishes: The interior palette references Montibeller’s iconic brand, combining glossy and textured finishes to highlight the space’s character. Custom furniture maximizes spatial efficiency, with the wall bench cleverly concealing packaging and storage.

Unique Features: A standout element is the interactive gallery wall, crafted from a woodworking grid that spans the room’s depth. Customers can personalize coffee cups with messages, drawings, and expressions of affection, adding a playful, community-driven touch. This grid motif continues onto the ceiling, unifying the space while enhancing visual rhythm and architectural interest.

Montibeller Coffee Shop exemplifies how thoughtful design can optimize small spaces, creating functional, interactive, and memorable experiences in the heart of Itajaí’s urban landscape.
