Up to the Stars on the Comet: A Futuristic Architectural Marvel
Where education meets the cosmos—an awe-inspiring fusion of futuristic architecture and space exploration for young minds
The Education Space Center "Up to the Stars on the Comet" for kids emerges as a groundbreaking futuristic architecture project, serving as a new symbol of science and space in the city. Designed to be highly visible from both the riverbank and the highway, this architectural masterpiece celebrates advancements in astronautics and humanity’s aspiration for greater heights.

Inspired by the imagery of a comet, the structure features two contrasting volumes: a crystalline sphere representing the comet’s head and a cascading terraced section mimicking the comet’s tail. This design fosters an interactive learning environment, where children engage in education through games, exhibitions, and outdoor study areas. Complementing the main structure are additional educational spaces, including classrooms, a cafeteria, a library, and an amphitheater, forming a vibrant learning ecosystem.

The school grounds are interwoven with pathways modeled after celestial constellations, reinforcing the theme of space exploration. The project by Irina Kapunkina was recognized as a shortlisted entry in Moontrip 2019, further cementing its place as a visionary step in futuristic architecture
