HURRICANE IRMA s/s2020
GuchitabyShahnaz founded in 2018 by Shahnaz Natasha Imran focused in creating Womens NewCouture .Takes an inspirations from HURRICANE IRMA, which is the biggest storm in the world ever recorded. Wanted to show Before and After Impacts of Hurricane Irma. Transform into a mix different type of finishing and volume, creative fabrics by using couture techniques.
Upgrade
Upgrade is a compact, fold-able, lightweight solution to make commuting more comfortable. Attached to vertical handrails on public transport it creates a personal seat. Hooking the strap to the overhead handrails transforms it into a swing seat. Upgrade can also be used as a free standing short or tall stool or as a multi-use surface.
Petals Lampshade
Petals lets you design light through material choice. A metal shade casts sharp, dramatic shadows, while plexiglass diffuses light, creating colorful, playful forms. Customize structure, petal shape, tilt, and material thickness to craft your ideal aesthetic. Auto-generated DXF files make assembly effortless.
Overall great job. One issue is making sure the cut sheet doesn't have overlapping items. Reducing the number of petals caused the output file to have overlapping items. Restricting the tilt angle will also avoid intersecting petals.
Elegance Waveform Bracelet
This bracelet design features a series of rippling, wave-like contours arranged in a circular form, creating an undulating and rhythmic aesthetic. Its surface texture and evenly spaced folds give it a dynamic and sculptural quality, emphasizing precision and fluidity.

Really good effort to integrate so many components. The team should go further in making this really cost effective and also test the ease of riding this around while being seated behind the display and storage unit.
There are so many lovely ideas in this proposal - the collapsible baskets and storage of these, the rails for additional display above, the retractable roof, the solar powered USB charger point, the app (which has been developed here in India (in a few cities) too). The drawings are clear. There are some fundamental challenges with regards to riding the cart around - visibility and manoeuvrability is going to be tough with the front of the cart out of view and the curving metal sheet behind the rider (the bananas will get in the way too!) . And good luck going up hill or turning sharp corners with the heavy load up front. Some of the details too need attention - the back end of the cantilevered metal hangers for the baskets is flimsy. One should also consider alternate materials (instead of the metal sheet) and the stacking/parking of multiple such carts.
A very well though a little bit overdesigned and heavy project.
Phenotype Algorithmic bracelet
The form of Phenotype bracelet is the result of a digital simulation of biological growth of bone tissue. Using specialized algorithms a shape of bracelets is created. Then the prototype is materialized through 3D printing. The final object is created using traditional craft techniques: jewelry is handcast, polished and finished.
Precise Imprecision
Flexible Construction with Robotic Fabric Formwork Precise Imprecision defines a new robotic construction technique through stack casting fabric molds by KUKA industrial robot and human, and re-defines "precise" and "imprecise" in digital fabrication.
META-BIN
Our design concept is based on the Japanese metabolism system, with a modular desigprefabricated in the factory and assembled to meet the needs of the site. The transportation of prefabricated components from the factory and the citizen participation in the assembly process, the replacement of damaged single components, all reduce the waste of resources.
Drift - Comfort in the Crowd
Drift is a futuristic comfort concept, which is ergonomic, strong, lightweight and most important of all portable. It was designed to solve the problem of overcrowding on our public transport system by maximizing the limited space to provide comfort for more individuals. You can now be comfortable anywhere you go if you have a Drift.
Its a simple clean take on a street cart. But will be good to make it more cost effective and innovate on materials to use to build it. Also make modules to adapt for different uses in the same frame structure will add more use to the design.
A simple, elegant design. The acrylic screen between the customers and the vendor is a good idea. Not really sure about drawers in a cart. They are cumbersome and cost more than shutters. The pastries one hopes to sell needs some sort of cooling. How is this managed? The rear wheels are too small. These casters will be tough to manoeuvre and won't survive. The vertical expansion idea (the configuration drawings are too small to see clearly) is tough to imagine. One needs a work surface and visibility.
Very well thought out design! Modern, Modular, and flexible.
