Swamp Capsule Camp

Darkness is starting to swallow the fields around you, until even the horizon disappears from view, but we follow north. Slowly you can see the first light come into view. The smell of the meal cooking by the fire. You have reached your home and you are safe, cradled by the lights and warmth around you.

Mobitecture

This mobile MODULE has as its main design approach the aspiration to be sustainable and mobile. It operates on the roof solar panels and therefore there will always be an ample amount of power from its ecological generated systems.

An elegant and simple design that looks beautiful and is functional. The design is thoughtful towards the environment, taking resources from rain, dew and sun, while also being resistant to wind and having a light footprint on the ground. The windows make the small space feel larger, and some flexibility in the interior layout could have been an interesting addition.

Bunkertecture

The existing doomsday houses are more concerned with the emergency role of disaster. When I was designing, I hoped that this community can operate daily. Participants must have certain skills and not just funds.Through the rotation system, residents need to provide a certain amount of work in planting, management and other aspects.

Love the idea of a home that expands and contracts, and it also looks beautiful and functional. Solar panels are a great addition. I would be interested to learn more about how the floor plan or other function (temperature) changes as it expands and contracts, and also see more about how the mobile structure could be more self sustaining.

DISEMBARKED

“The cabin in the forest, on the banks of a quiet lake or buried in the wilderness back of beyond, is an expression of man’s desire to escape the exactions of civilization and secure rest and seclusion by a return to the primitive.” ~ From the epigraph of William A. Bruette’s 1934 book, Log Camps & Cabins.

This is a thoughtfully conceived and elegantly executed project. The rigorous design strategy in both plan and form is complimented and reinforced through the choice of materials and the precision to their detailing. The contemporary twist on traditional assembly techniques make this a very intriguing project.

SHELL-TER

First base placed at the bottom of the largest canyon in the solar system - Valles Marineris, located in its safest, water-rich place - Coprates Chasma. The base shape of the dune seamlessly merges into the local environment, allowing inhabitants to be in unity with nature. The memory of warm, sandy beaches motivates residents to further mental development

Interactive Colony

The goal of this project was to compromise with Mars and try to use its existing potentials instead of confronting it. One of the most common situations on Mars is hurricanes, and therefore, to compromise, we tried to use its high-speed winds. Due to the low air pressure, in order to produce proper power from wind turbines, the wind must be faster. The wind
