Burberry Launches Immersive 'The Imagined Landscape Experience' in Jeju Island, Korea
Experience Burberry's Fusion of Fashion and Nature in a Unique Jeju Island Pop-Up
Burberry, the renowned British fashion brand, has set up a pop-up store named The Imagined Landscape Experience Jeju on Jeju Island, Korea. This immersive brand experience is the first of its kind on the island and is part of a series of pop-ups showcasing Burberry's latest outerwear silhouettes around the world. The pop-up blurs the lines between nature and technology, the indoors and outdoors, and the real and the imagined.
Burberry has always had a pioneering spirit, which is evident in the creation of gabardine and iconic outerwear by Thomas Burberry, aimed at helping people explore new spaces and places. The brand continues to imbue this spirit through its collections today, as Thomas Burberry's quote 'Inherent in every Burberry garment is freedom' inspires the brand. In Jeju, this spirit is embodied by the ephemeral brand space created through a topographic mirrored sculpture that rises from the landscape.

The structure of the pop-up is deeply connected to nature and blends the modernity of architectural contour lines with the mountainous terrain of the island. Its reflective surfaces and shape merge seamlessly with the natural surroundings, sitting at the foot of the majestic Halla mountain, overlooking Sanbang mountain and the South Shore. Visitors can enjoy a breathtaking vista from the viewing platform atop the design.
Inside the pop-up, visitors enter an innovative space where the digital and physical worlds collide. An immersive experience featuring cinematic films by three artists, Maotik, Cao Yuxi, and Lia Jiayu, awaits visitors in one room. Surrounded by screens, visitors can interact with the unique worlds the artists have created, rooted in the great outdoors.

In partnership with TikTok, visitors can also enjoy a social experience that continues the connection with technology and global communities. Visitors scan a TikTok QR code to activate an augmented reality lens that creates a scene filled with sharks across the sky.
In addition to the experience, Thomas's Cafe has made its first appearance in Korea. The cafe's design reflects the house codes, with a light beige colour scheme and Burberry animal kingdom motifs throughout.

Burberry has an ongoing commitment to leading positive environmental change for a more sustainable future. As part of this commitment, Burberry will support the ongoing preservation of Jeju Island through a five-year partnership with the non-profit organization Jeju Olle Foundation. The brand will invest in maintaining the island's scenic trails to allow continued and safe access for the public while supporting waste elimination programs to help preserve the island's natural beauty. This immersive experience is certified carbon neutral in line with Burberry's commitment to reducing the environmental impacts of its presentations.
In conclusion, the Imagined Landscape Experience Jeju pop-up store is a perfect example of how Burberry continues to innovate while maintaining its core values. The pop-up reflects the brand's commitment to creating sustainable and immersive experiences that inspire visitors to connect with nature and technology.

The pop-up showcases the brand's latest outerwear silhouettes and embodies Thomas Burberry's quote 'Inherent in every Burberry garment is freedom.' The partnership with the Jeju Olle Foundation demonstrates Burberry's ongoing commitment to leading positive environmental change for a more sustainable future. The pop-up is a must-visit for those who appreciate innovative design and sustainable fashion.
