Corporativo IS 19 Offices by Prototype Architecture Studio
Modern, sustainable office in Mexico City by Prototype Architecture Studio, featuring recycled materials, dynamic lighting, and Barragán-inspired spatial design.
Human-Centered Design Rooted in Identity and Function
In the heart of Mexico City, Corporativo IS 19 Offices by Prototype Architecture Studio offers a compelling vision for contemporary corporate architecture. Designed with a client-centric approach, the office spaces reflect not only the identity of the organization but also a return to thoughtful architectural principles. This project emphasizes personalized spatial strategies tailored to the unique workflow, sector demands, and aesthetic preferences of the client.

A Private Workspace with Purposeful Zoning
Given the confidential nature of the company's operations, the layout focuses on controlled access and intentional zoning. Office functions are distributed in isolated spatial blocks, each with a dedicated purpose. Private workspaces are situated along the perimeter, while central communal zones encourage collaboration and multifunctional use. Strategic window framing and the interplay of natural and artificial light enhance views, privacy, and interior atmosphere.

Spatial Dynamics Inspired by Barragán
Drawing inspiration from the iconic spatial language of Luis Barragán, the design plays with volume—compressing and releasing ceiling heights to create dramatic spatial transitions. Exposed industrial elements, visible infrastructure, and varying ceiling elevations enhance the dynamic quality of the interiors, offering a sense of openness and architectural rhythm throughout the workspace.

Materials, Texture, and Atmosphere
The office interiors are defined by a carefully curated material palette that blends industrial aesthetics with functional efficiency. Finishes include blue-toned carpets, concrete-look flooring, corrugated metal, aluminum, and wood-effect laminates. These choices reflect the client's industrial background while maintaining a sense of sophistication and cohesion.
Indirect LED lighting is used to soften the atmosphere and reduce energy consumption, complemented by programmable timers for efficient energy management. More than 70% of the tempered glass panels were recovered and reused in the project, showcasing a commitment to sustainability and cost-effectiveness. Custom-designed frames further elevate the reuse strategy.

Sustainable Strategies and Comfort
The office promotes both energy efficiency and thermal comfort. Solar control films on windows mitigate heat gain and UV exposure, preserving interior materials and enhancing employee comfort. The open ceiling system exposes structural elements and supports natural airflow, contributing to a healthier indoor environment.

Enhancing Productivity through Design
Ultimately, Corporativo IS 19 embodies a holistic vision where sustainability, cost-consciousness, and employee wellbeing intersect. Every design decision—from layout to lighting, from recycled glass to textured surfaces—supports a work environment that is functional, flexible, and aesthetically engaging. The result is a tailored corporate headquarters that reflects brand identity while promoting productivity and user satisfaction.
