Equestrian San Ramón: A Harmony of Design and Nature in Valle de Bravo, Mexico
Equestrian San Ramón: A blend of architectural elegance and functionality set within Valle de Bravo's forest.
Nestled within the lush forest of Valle de Bravo, Mexico, the Equestrian San Ramón emerges as a masterpiece of equestrian center design by Módica Ledezma. This 1,370 m² facility is not just a space for equestrian activities but a testament to the seamless integration of architecture with the natural environment, ensuring both human and animal comfort.

A Design Rooted in Simplicity and Materiality
The architectural narrative of Equestrian San Ramón is one of simplicity and materiality, where the choice of wood, clay tiles, red bricks, steel beams, and corten openings not only highlights the ocher tones of the structure but also contrasts beautifully with the surrounding greenery. The design's geometric order and the strategic use of materials pay homage to the equestrian program's needs while enhancing the site's natural beauty.

Innovations in Equestrian Architecture
Open Spaces and Air Circulation
The stables are crowned with single-pitched roofs, a design choice that facilitates the creation of expansive open spaces and elevated heights, promoting optimal air circulation. These wide-open areas are further enriched by longitudinal windows that invite northern light, offering a benign orientation that enriches the stables' environment.

Interdependent and Flexible Structures
Each stable within the complex operates interdependently, adapting gracefully to the topographical challenges of the site. The use of lightweight materials such as steel and glass imparts a sense of lightness and flexibility to the buildings, despite their substantial scale.

The Journey Through Equestrian San Ramón
Visitors are welcomed by an access arch that leads to a multifunctional service module and a quaint parking area, setting the stage for the journey ahead. The layout unfolds with several stables, bedrooms, a meeting room, and a dining area, all leading to the main nave where the heart of equestrian activities beats.

Central Tapanco Area and Corrals
The central tapanco area serves as a pivotal point, connecting different parts of the facility and offering access to the second stable nave, which opens onto a corral. This thoughtful design ensures fluidity and connectivity throughout the complex, enhancing both functionality and aesthetic appeal.

A Confluence of Geometry and Nature
Equestrian San Ramón stands as a harmonious blend of diagonal, staggered, vertical, rigid, and stylized geometries. This architectural symphony functions cohesively to provide a sanctuary for equestrian pursuits amidst a backdrop of oak trees, embodying the essence of comfort, openness, and shelter.
Equestrian San Ramón by Módica Ledezma is more than an equestrian center; it is a beacon of architectural excellence that respects and enhances its natural surroundings. It sets a new benchmark for equestrian center design, where the well-being of horses and humans alike is intricately woven into the fabric of its construction.
