1. What was the concept behind the project and methods of design?

The vision and concept for the Green Haven project is to create a vibrant and accessible neighborhood that celebrates culture, street life, and enhances the user experience. In addition, use of a multilayered approach is used to create a resilient community to create buffer zones and provide the different zones with specific characteristics.

2.What are the key features that make Green Haven a sustainable and environmentally friendly project?

Green Haven is an urban project that aims to create a natural and resilient environment, offering safe modular, modern urban spaces. Green Haven is zoned into different areas, including Green Haven Circle, Gateway, Waterfront, Residential, Market, and a Floating Park. The proposed modular architecture offers a range of advantages and adaptability to meet future needs. It enables easy replacement or addition of components without disrupting the entire system, providing flexibility and personalized customization. The construction process is efficient, cost-effective, durable, and maintains high quality standards. The design prioritizes the use of environmentally friendly materials that align with the local context. The modular architecture effectively addresses future challenges by promoting zero waste, achieving net-zero energy consumption, water autonomy, self-sufficiency, and resilience against disasters.

3.What are the different zones within the Green Haven project and how do they contribute to its overall vision?

The land use concept takes into account the topography of the site. The central park is located in the middle, responding to the lowest point of the site. The goal is to create a pedestrian-friendly area within a 5-10 minute walking distance. Haven floating park area that is designed to be environmentally sustainable and supportive with a focus on preserving green spaces and promoting eco-friendly practices such as urban farms, playground, and shaded seating places integrating a main vehicular road network is established to ensure accessibility throughout the region, with additional lanes and connections for walking and cycling. In addition, the residential zone program includes modular 200 units with varying sizes for low, 150 units medium, and 50 units for high-income residents. The facilities integrated into the program are based on the population's needs. The residential zone includes pocket parks that promote community engagement, incorporating activities, rain collectors, and urban life elements. The waterfront area is designed to meet community and social needs, with pedestrian and cycling lanes. It also includes elements of traditional culture, such as local markets, fish, and various retail shops, along with urban farms. The recreational area of "Haven Gateway" serves as an engaging entrance to Haven Circle. "Haven Circle" could refer to a circular building that preserves marine life and culture, further enhancing the project's identity and connection with nature.

4.How does your design reflect the identity of Indonesia?

The design of the project reflects the identity of Indonesia in several additional ways. It incorporates traditional Indonesian aesthetics, forms, and spatial arrangements in modern way with ensuring that the architecture reflects the country's cultural heritage. The use of local materials and construction techniques further reinforces this connection to Indonesian identity. Moreover, the project design takes inspiration from the natural landscape of Indonesia, integrating elements such as green spaces, water features, and natural materials. This integration creates a harmonious relationship between the built environment and the surrounding natural environment, promoting a sense of unity with the local ecology .Additionally, the project design takes into account the social and communal aspects of Indonesian culture. It incorporates gathering spaces, communal areas, and facilities that encourage interaction and foster a sense of community among residents. This emphasis on social connectivity reflects the strong communal bonds that are characteristic of Indonesian society. By incorporating these elements, the project design not only reflects the identity of Indonesia but also creates a unique sense of place and belonging for its residents, promoting a deeper appreciation for their cultural heritage and fostering a strong sense of community.
