Hamyab 24 Office by Arc Architecture Studio: Innovative Courtyard-Centered Workspace in Neyshabur
Hamyab 24 Office blends traditional Iranian courtyard design, natural light, and cultural materials to enhance employee well-being, interaction, and productivity.
Located in Neyshabur, Iran, the Hamyab 24 Office designed by Arc Architecture Studio spans 1,326 m² and redefines the modern workplace by integrating stress-reducing design strategies, interactive work zones, and culturally inspired architecture. Established in 2016, Hamyab 24 initially focused on tracking stolen mobile phones and has grown into a thriving startup with over 100 employees. However, rapid growth brought challenges, including elevated stress levels and reduced productivity. Addressing these issues, Arc Architecture Studio conceived a design that prioritizes employee well-being while enhancing collaboration across different departments.

Courtyard-Centric Design: Bridging Interaction and Privacy
The architectural concept draws inspiration from traditional Iranian houses, particularly the central courtyard typology. This design serves as the heart of the office, fostering a sense of security, familiarity, and communal interaction. Joint meeting rooms, informal collaboration spaces, and circulation paths radiate from this courtyard, encouraging both horizontal and vertical connectivity across floors. The layout allows for frequent interaction while maintaining the privacy necessary for focused work, reflecting the balance of communal living spaces in historic multi-family residences.

Integration of Natural Light and Ventilation
A glass ceiling crowns the central courtyard, creating dynamic patterns of light and shadow throughout the day while visually connecting interior spaces with the outdoors. Southern awning windows and terraces optimize natural ventilation, allowing breezes to circulate across the office and connecting employees across different altitudinal levels. This attention to environmental comfort enhances productivity and reduces stress, providing a healthier work environment that harmonizes with nature.

Materiality and Cultural References
The building’s material palette emphasizes local identity and simplicity. Traditional bricks paired with cyan accents, a nod to Neyshabur’s cultural symbolism, and a prominent arched entrance create a welcoming, human-centered workspace. The design fuses historical architectural motifs with modern office needs, offering a memorable, authentic environment that feels simultaneously domestic and professional. The project transforms conventional office spaces into a sanctuary where work, social interaction, and cultural identity coexist seamlessly.

Redefining the Modern Workplace
Hamyab 24 Office is more than a functional workspace; it is a thoughtfully crafted environment that elevates employee experience, encourages collaboration, and honors cultural memory. By merging tradition with modernity, Arc Architecture Studio has designed an office that embodies well-being, productivity, and belonging, redefining the possibilities of contemporary office architecture in Iran.
