The Inglewood Bird Sanctuary Expansion by The Marc Boutin Architectural Collaborative redefines how communities connect with protected landscapes in Calgary, Canada. Completed in 2023, this 365-square-meter expansion enhances the existing Nature Centre, deepening public engagement with one of the city’s most important federally protected wildlife habitats.
Designed as a sensitive architectural intervention, the project strengthens accessibility, education, and environmental awareness without compromising the ecological integrity that makes the sanctuary unique.
A Vision Rooted in Ecological Respect
