KC House, designed by Wahana Architects, is a striking three-story residence in Tangerang, Indonesia, thoughtfully crafted to balance privacy, sunlight, and outdoor connectivity. Design Concept and Site Planning

The site presented both opportunities and challenges. While the property benefits from a serene green area and a well-maintained front garden, the proximity of nearby apartments created privacy concerns. To address this, the architects incorporated laser-cut facades and carefully oriented layouts to ensure intimate, unobstructed spaces.

The home is divided into two main structural volumes across three floors, allowing natural sunlight to penetrate the central areas. This split structure enhances ventilation, daylighting, and the sense of openness, while creating an architectural dialogue between the interior and the natural surroundings.

Feng Shui Integration

A distinctive feature of KC House is its incorporation of Feng Shui principles. The architects used these guidelines to organize functional zones, ensuring harmony, energy flow, and well-being throughout the home. From the placement of the main living areas to the private bedrooms, Feng Shui shaped the relationship between spaces, views, and circulation.
