Living in the Cocoon
Three Cocoons created with mission to connect people and take care about their health.
Nowadays society doesn't pay attention to how they live. This energy imbalance may be caused by our lifestyle, emotions, and socioeconomic factors. Striving for self-realization becomes the most important for us, but where are we in this mess? Society exerts pressure on us, we forget about our needs. That kind of lifestyle which is a daily routine for most of us leads to many diseases including heart disease, diabetes, stroke, depression, neurosis, arteriosclerosis. To improve the standard of our life I have created a paradise of peace and comfort.
Each cocoon is created with you in mind- to make your life easier. The place is localized in the suburbs in a wooded area. There is a small lake next to the building where children can swim during the summer, men can fish, teenagers can barbecue. At sunset, animals come out, which gives us a good opportunity to reconciliation with nature. The Cocoons area is primarily created for society, where you can meet new people, come with your friends, neighbours and enjoy being together. Surrounding nature is the only addition that calms us down. The great philosopher Aristoteles said that the human is innately a social creature. Our consciousness, way of being, the character is shaped by people, by their observations. Even as children, we observe our family, we are following them and imitate their decision. Many things that we experience in our childhood affect our future adult life. So, if life among people is so important, let's create a place where we can communicate with them, observe them, find similarities and similar interests. The Cocoon area is a place detached from reality where we can work on ourselves among the people or give ourselves over the meditation. The most principal elements of the conception are cocoons. Each cocoon has an individually assigned colour: green, yellow or grey. They are equipped with a metal ladder that moves around the axis on the rail. Thanks to this solution we can enter the place from every side we want. Cocoons are suspended from the ceiling and attached with lines that are covered by the plants. Under and above the cocoon LED lights are attached. Additional lightning occurs as dangling light bulbs in industrial style. The green cocoon (C1) is dedicated to everyone but mostly to those who need rest. In this place, people can lie down and listen to the sounds of nature. The Yellow Cocoon (C2) stands out from others because it has a small bookcase in a cylinder's shape. Every person sitting in the cocoon can take the book from the hole in the centre. The idea is to share your books with friends. You can leave there your favorite book and find a new one. In this space you can find friends with similar interests, you have the possibility to meet your soulmate but at any time you are free to go to another Cocoon. The Grey Cocoon (C3) is a space where nobody gets bored. The place is dedicated to people who want to spend time with their friends during a good party. C3 is equipped with a seat around the axis, table and space for dancing. Cocoons are an unusual solution, they can attract every user, but also have additional functions, thanks to which we can always be in the place we need. If we need silence or a book with our companions, we go to C1 or C2 and if we want to sing, dance, drink and eat the grey cocoon is the perfect solution. There is also a toilet with a shower on the ground floor. Thanks to these users are getting the chance to refresh themselves after an active day in The Cocoon area. The concept provides that this is a place for everyone who has strength and energy because, apart from the oasis of peace, which is a cocoon, there is a slide in the building. Only this way we can go to the underground. There is a large round table - a place to eat together. Then you will traverse across the rope to get to the ground floor. These physical activity types are there to stimulate the mind and the body and, consequently, set the body into motion. First floor is a place where the user can exercise, there are bikes and yoga mats, but also you can sit comfortably on a chair and drink coffee with your best friend. To sum up my concept, we need to spend time among society, meet new people, share our ideas with them and enjoy time together. These kinds of activities strength our creativity and imagination. Secondly, we identify with nature since the dawn of time. Plants calm the mind and relax the body.
Thirdly, physical activity is essential for the proper functioning of the body. The Green Cocoon area has all the facilities you need to feel better. It is a place friendly to children, animals, and the elderly.
The dominant plant in the interior is Monstera Deliciosa and Nasturtium occurring on the building elevation. The first one is the plant also known as the Swiss cheese plant, which grows in the Central American rainforest from Mexico to Panama. Growing Monstera is quite simple because her requirements are not too high. It needs an average amount of light, prefers peaty well-draining soil and room temperature. Furthermore, monstera is a natural barometer. Nasturtium is an ornamental flower that can be found in luxurious gardens. It is not only a beautiful plant but also has healing properties. Nasturtium reaches a length of up to 4 meters. This plant contains many minerals, oils and vitamins. Moreover, it has fungicidal and bactericidal properties, therefore Nasturtium can be used as a natural antibiotic. Thanks to baths in Nasturtium, we can get rid of headaches and acne and improve our skin condition. The concept has been created with a human being in mind. The Cocoon area is to help people and improve their standard of life. The plants have been carefully selected to be useful and provide healing properties.
