The Competition
BOUN Design awards 2018 recognizes some of the most innovative design ideas for built furniture, hosting the theme for 2018 - “Live”
A lineup of 3 citations & two honorable mentions that showcase bright & fresh concepts of product design. Boun, serves as a part of UNI in the field of furniture design. It serves as a platform for experimentation and conceptual exchange of ideas for furniture designs happening at various levels.

Citation: Navya Sofa

Description: Wood & leather-based modern furniture designed with multi-use aspect. With a concept derived from a boomerang, ergonomics for comfortable seating, the Navya Sofa is a perfect cherry on top.
Citation: Ollly Desk

Description: The desk is equipped with a small and compact drawer, conveniently located in the centre. The worktop has ergonomic grooves for small office supplies from both edges of the table. Near them, on both sides, there are openings-stands for the phone and tablet. This is a stylish way to organize your workplace and everything you need to work effectively.

Description: The RIBBON wine holder was inspired by the work on the interior for the BULL Butcher and Wine restaurant. This solution not only reliably fixes bottles with a valuable drink but also looks quite impressive. The use of any such tapes opens up endless variations of the interior design.
Honorable Mention: The Planet for Two

Description: The Planet for Two is the entire meeting room for limited space offices. MZPA company would like to widespread the idea of using The Planet for Two in office spaces, as a place for communication. We made The Planet to manage open-plan offices and create ONE place comprising a meeting room, lounge zone and working space.
Honorable Mention: Araastaar

Description: The name of this project is ‘Araastaar’ which means - The Decorator, in traditional Persian language. There are different points that need to be paid attention to, such as the poles which are delicate and stretched like tree-logs in a way that their interlaced shape represents correlation.
Honorable Mention: HP Kiosk Cafe

Description: We design certain areas in the interior of Hewlett Packard Enterprise facilities. The kiosk was a piece that interacts with the structure of the building and takes advantage of the architecture giving dynamism to this dining area. Green highlighted volumes, raw materials and geometric heavy textures let us live the space through a unique experience.
Boun Furniture Design Awards (BFDA) has been created to recognize, honour and celebrate the pinnacle of crafting excellence and design proficiency in the furniture design industry. We are inviting designers and craftsmen across the globe to submit their entries which will be judged for design innovation, versatility, visual ingenuity, ergonomics, aesthetics. With some exemplary furniture projects received in our previous edition, we can’t wait to see what lies in store for this year’s BFDA 2020.
