Open letter to community of UNI
A set of important news for our existing participants and community of UNI worldwide.
Dear Uni Community,
Together, we are facing a never before situation that has got everything we care for under threat.
The global Covid-19 pandemic is affecting all of our families, our businesses, our communities, and our way of life. During this time, We wanted to reach out and update you on how we’re approaching the situation at Uni.xyz.
First and foremost, our hearts go out to anyone who's been impacted by the virus, either directly or indirectly. Our thoughts are especially with those who are sick, to whom we extend our heartfelt wishes for a full recovery. And we're truly inspired by the selfless healthcare workers around the world who are on the front lines working tirelessly to care for people in need.
Second, at Uni.xyz as you, we’re focused on the health and safety of our UNI family and people who support us as well. This brings in tough decisions like closing our office temporarily for most of our team members and setting up work from home systems that enable them to work for this ever-growing community of creatives worldwide.
The shift is still under process hence a few services will be partially and severely impacted because of this like Customer Support, Query resolution, Deadlines of our future competitions, Yearbook / Publication, Award Dispatch, and Award Closures. We'll request your patience while these shifts are taking place.
We’re also asking our competition management unit to work with our participants through digital channels like the helpdesk as much as possible. We’re postponing some of our competition deadlines due to similar reasons as we understand there are severe lockdowns across countries. This applies to all competitions which were happening to close in March and April 2020. We will request you to check these updates on our website directly. We will take decisions for upcoming competitions in a few weeks based on how the situation across countries changes.
Third, even as we deal with this pandemic, our team at UNI is still driven to bring you the best architectural competitions. This is to help you and us to keep our creative sides at their best and bring more reasons to build meaningful dialogues between you and your friends. UNI is designed to be a seamless web platform for architectural thinkers and enthusiasts and no matter where we are, it will not stop us from getting there. Our development teams are already back on track to roll out new features like publications and blogs by writer partners.
We are also planning a few exercises for you all that will keep you motivated and creatively charged through these times. We are also offering heavy discounts daily on the registration fees in our competitions to promote more participation by making them more affordable.
If you think we can help in more ways than above through our online network please write to us at contact@uni.xyz.
We have amazing people across UNI who are here for you. This moment reminds us that we’re all connected like never before. We’re called upon to be our best selves, with patience, understanding and compassion. On behalf of all of us at UNI, we’re committed to being your ally and persevering together in all the days and years ahead.
As we go forward, we’ll be sure to keep you updated, and know that we always value your questions, ideas and feedback.
Stay Safe and Healthy.
We will get through this together.
Best
Team UNI
