Perpetual Calendar

I designed this calendar when I was 20 years old and studying at university. I remember my older brother had a pocket copper calendar, and I was fascinated by it. I kept wondering how it was designed and made. It had a limited span of 52 years, but I discovered an error in one of the years. While calculating, I found that the same calendar repeats every 28 years.

That’s how the idea of designing and creating this calendar came to me. Since I didn’t have a computer at the time, I did all the calculations manually, and the crafting was simple and handmade, using cardboard in various shapes.

Several years later, I turned it into an Android application, but my dream has always been to produce it in multiple forms and materials. This calendar could be integrated into watches, made into pens, or created in various shapes that can be hung on walls, placed on desks, or carried in pockets.

It can be crafted from cardboard, metal, wood, or using 3D printing, with CNC machines ensuring precision in printing and carving. The design can also be customized according to the customer’s preferences.

My dream is to acquire the proper equipment to manufacture and market the calendar. This, in short, is the story of my journey with this calendar.
