Prosolia Headquarters by Destudio: A Dynamic Workspace Redefining Industrial Elegance in Valencia
Prosolia Headquarters by Destudio transforms structural challenges into a vibrant, open workspace blending industrial aesthetics, natural light, and collaborative design.
A Sustainable and Adaptive Office Design in the Heart of Valencia
Located in Valencia, Spain, Prosolia Headquarters by Destudio redefines contemporary workspace design through a balance of functionality, flexibility, and aesthetic innovation. Spanning 1,000 square meters, this new office accommodates 70 employees while overcoming significant architectural challenges — including low ceilings and a dense grid of structural pillars.
Despite these constraints, Destudio transformed the space into a vibrant and efficient working environment that celebrates transparency, collaboration, and a strong visual connection with the Turia Gardens.

Transforming Constraints into Design Opportunities
The Prosolia office’s most distinctive feature is its “forest of pillars.” Instead of viewing these as obstacles, the architects turned them into organizing elements that structure the workspace. Large custom-made work tables were positioned strategically between the pillars, creating clear circulation zones while maintaining visual openness.

The façade facing the park was reserved for meeting rooms and executive offices, ensuring that both employees and clients enjoy the best natural views. This façade also integrates the reception and waiting area, making it a welcoming and dynamic interface between the company and its visitors.
A Multi-Zone Layout for Work, Collaboration, and Relaxation
The office is divided into two main wings:
- One side accommodates larger work areas, internal meeting rooms, video call booths, and even a dedicated scooter parking zone for employees.
- The other side includes a large multipurpose dining room, which doubles as an auditorium for company-wide events and presentations.
This dual-purpose space is anchored by a tiered seating arrangement, transforming the dining area into a communal hub that fosters engagement and a sense of belonging among team members.

Industrial Expression with a Human Touch
Given the low ceiling height, the design leaves mechanical and electrical systems exposed, including HVAC ducts, air renewal systems, and cabling. This choice not only optimizes functionality but also gives the office a raw, industrial aesthetic—a visual language that communicates innovation and transparency.

The material palette enhances this industrial character with stainless steel bars, natural woods, and textured ceiling finishes. The cool tones of the raw materials are balanced by warm accents of vegetation and bold upholstered furniture in bright orange and yellow hues. These pops of color enliven the informal lounges and relaxation areas, creating visual continuity and moments of playfulness throughout the space.

Acoustic Comfort and Material Precision
Recognizing the importance of acoustic quality in high-occupancy workspaces, Destudio implemented a comprehensive acoustic strategy. Carpet flooring, rough ceiling textures, fabric upholstery, and lush greenery all help absorb sound and enhance comfort. Additionally, double-glazed partitions maintain acoustic privacy while preserving visual openness across the office.

The result is a balanced environment where functionality, comfort, and aesthetics coexist harmoniously—reflecting Prosolia’s innovative and forward-thinking corporate culture.

A Vision of Future Workspaces
Through material honesty, spatial flexibility, and biophilic integration, Prosolia Headquarters sets a new benchmark for contemporary office design in Valencia. Destudio’s architectural approach not only adapts to physical constraints but turns them into opportunities for creativity, collaboration, and identity.
This project stands as a testament to the power of adaptive architecture, where technical challenges become the foundation for bold and human-centered design.
